Setting Passwords for LockDown Browser Tests

Note: Online Learning sets all passwords for proctored tests. This help page is for non-proctored tests only.

Adding a Password

1.   Login to Blackboard and enter the course with the test you want to add the password to.

2.   Click Control Panel.

3.   Under Course Tools, click Respondus LockDown Browser.

4.   Click Modify Settings next to the name of the test you want to add the password to.

5.   A new page should load. Type the password you want to use in the Test Password (optional) box.

6.   Click Submit.

Make sure you store the password somewhere because if you forget it you will not be able to come back to this screen to retrieve it; the password field will show as blank even though a password is set.

Removing a Password

1.   Login to Blackboard and enter the course with the test you want to remove the password from.

2.   Click Control Panel.

3.   Under Course Tools, click Respondus LockDown Browser.

4.   Click Modify Settings next to the name of the test you want to remove the password from.

5.   A new page should load. Leave the Password (optional) field blank.

6.   Click Submit.
