2012 Summer Courses for Teachers

Every summer two new courses are offered in the Tri-Cities; in the fall, you can order the new courses on DVD. In the 2012 year, we are adding "Relevant Resources in Education" with William Templeton as the instructor, 5 credits and "Fundamentals of Coaching" with Marc Yonts, 3 credits.

Relevant Resources in Education, 5 credits

• Develop dynamic approaches to math strategies and peer interactions
• Establish partners with educators and enhance professional excellence
• Active involvement with fitness/wellness activities to promote the incorporation of wellness and learning strategies

Fundamentals of Coaching, 3 credits

• Develop strategies and activities needed to achieve desired learning goals
• Develop skills to enhance character development
• Develop effective decision making skills and strategies to encourage community partnerships to be explored
• Engage in fitness and wellness activities to establish healthy personal lifestyle choices and provide proper modeling
